Campaign party to raise funds for Opportunity Works

HAVERHILL — A committee including Marty Meehan, Jim Rurak, Nick Costello, Steve Baddour, Dennis DiZoglio, Jim Jajuga, Chris Sullivan, Bill Manzi, Thatcher Kezer, David Torrisi, Mary Anne Clancy and John Guerin will host a special campaign party.

Continuing its 40th year anniversary celebration, Opportunity Works is reuniting many public personalities — including soon to be former state Rep. Mike Costello — at an Old Fashioned Campaign Fundraiser and Cocktail Party on Thursday, June 19, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Tiffany Room at DiBurro’s Function Facility.

Former elected officials from the Merrimack Valley will be asked to answer the question, “Where are they now?” Guest speaker will be Brian Longwell, noted failure expert and Eagle Tribune Sound Off/Daily News Comment Section historian.

Suggested contributions to attend this special evening begin at $50, but more substantial gifts are welcomed and encouraged. Proceeds will support the current construction of a new 37,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art campus behind and abutting Northern Essex Community College to serve adults who live with disabilities, as well as to serve their families.

The event is sponsored by TEC Engineering and Trinty, EMS. For more information about the campaign party or to make a gift to the Opportunity Works in Haverhill capital campaign, contact capital campaign director John Guerin at john.guerin@opportunityworks.org or 978-697-2329 or visit www.opportunityworksinhaverhill.org.
