NEWBURYPORT

The following item was recorded in the Newburyport police log:

Matthew Melanson, 19, 26 Chandler Ave., No. 9, Plaistow, N.H., was issued a summons Tuesday at 4:25 p.m. on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Officer Shawn Eaton issued the summons on Pleasant Street.

SEABROOK

The following item was recorded in the Seabrook police log:

Francis O’Brien, 66, 275 Walton Road, Seabrook, was arrested Tuesday at 11:39 p.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated (subsequent offense) and driving after revocation or suspension. Officer Kevin Gelineau made the arrest on Walton Road.

NEWBURY

The following item was recorded in the Newbury police log:

Miles J. Rutkowski, 22, 36 Puritan Park, Swampscott, was arrested Tuesday at 11:41 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol and marked lanes. Officer James Bedard made the arrest on Route 1.

STATE POLICE

The following items were recorded at the Newbury barracks:

Jeffrey D. McGarry, 52, 74 Richard St., Lowell, was arrested Tuesday at 1:25 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol and marked lanes. Trooper DeMeo made the arrest in Amesbury.

Gerald Tvelia, 34, 31 Wilshire Drive, Londonderry, N.H., was arrested Tuesday at 5:45 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of drugs, heroin possession, being present where heroin is kept and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. Trooper Durant made the arrest in Merrimac following a three-car accident on Interstate 495 north, just south of Exit 54.
