Portmedia names new production manager
Andrew Love has been named the new teaching and production manager at Portmedia. Love previously worked for Cape Ann Television in Gloucester as a production coordinator for seven years. His specialty is teaching television techniques and technology to novice and journeymen filmmakers. He will be setting up a series of classes and workshops that range from the basics of picking up a camera, all the way to the advanced skills someone needs to pursue a professional career in film.
Love first became interested media production after taking a television class in high school; the one semester elective ignited a lifelong passion for filmmaking. With that in mind, one of Love’s first goals is establishing a college and high school internship program for Newburyport’s artistically inclined youth.
For more information, visit the Portmedia website for training class schedule or call Andrew Love at 978-961-0350.
