---- — Parishioners at Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church should be pleased that the recent Christmas in July Craft Fair raised more than $13,000, more than enough to replace the church’s basement windows.
Only the second year of the event, this year’s fair was as well received as last year’s. Well attended, both advance and day of sales of crafts and raffle tickets were solid, according to one of the committee chairmen, Donald Beaulieu.
Salisbury’s Council on Aging alerts local senior citizens that the insurance SHINE counselor holds office hours at the Hilton Senior Center. The counselor can answer insurance questions concerning medical issues that are confusing to some. To set up a private appointment, call the COA at 978-462-2412.
And from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on the first four Mondays of every month, the COA provides a health clinic at the Hilton Center. A nurse is available at the clinic to take blood pressure and discuss health concerns. Blood sugar testing can also be done by Cataldo Atlantic Medical Response. The clinic is sponsored by Angels at Home Healthcare and Salisbury Public Health Department.
