Forum on Lower Millyard next week

AMESBURY — The Amesbury Chamber of Commerce and the town will hold a forum next week to discuss the Lower Millyard redevelopment project.

The forum will start at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Town Hall auditorium. The event is open to the public.

"The chamber offered to organize that," Mayor Thatcher Kezer said. "To get the public as much information as possible about the Lower Millyard redevelopment."

Council President Anne Ferguson said the forum will showcase potential developments and what's planned."

The chamber said representatives from the town will be on hand to present their plans and answer questions from the audience.

The redevelopment of the Lower Millyard is contingent on the removal of the public works garage. The Municipal Council is considering an $8 million bond for a project that would relocate the complex to South Hunt Road.
