Programs at Mass Audubon's Joppa Flats

NEWBURYPORT — Mass Audubon’s Joppa Flats Education Center, One Plum Island Turnpike, is a natural history education and visitor center that is open to the public Tuesday through Sunday and Monday holidays, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mass Audubon members receive discounts on programs. Call 978-462-9998 for information about additional programs and events or visit www.massaudubon.org/joppaflats.

Activities and outings meet at the education center unless otherwise noted.

NATURE ART CLASSES AT JOPPA FLATS: NATURE MOSAIC

Children ages 6 to 11 are invited to learn how to make their own “wow” works of art in Monday morning sessions with teacher Jan Morris.

Monday, July 15, 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Meet at the Joppa Flats Education Center, One Plum Island Turnpike, Newburyport.

Fee per session: $18. Registration is required.

Active play and learning with Joppa Flats School and Youth Education Coordinator Lisa Hutchings for pre-schoolers, ages 3 to 5, with a favorite adult.

Thursday, July 25, 10 to 11:30 a.m., or Friday, July 26, 10 to 11:30 a.m.

Meet at Mass Audubon’s Joppa Flats Education Center, One Plum Island Turnpike, Newburyport.

Fee: $8 for adults, $7 for children. Registration is required.
