Storm forecasts cause cancellations

Due to the severe weather forecasted for today, several events have been cancelled or postponed:

Pawsitively Best Friends has rescheduled the Essex County K-9 Unit demonstration and fundraiser for Massachusetts Vest-A-Dog until tomorrow from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Inn Street Mall in Newburyport. Demonstrations are set for 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Also, Maudslay Arts Center has cancelled the performance of Paul Broadnax.

Tomorrow afternoon’s concert by the Shaw Brothers will go on as scheduled at 2 p.m. Sunday performances start at 2 p.m. with gates opening at 1 p.m. General admission is $12 with open seating on the patio and lawn. Children 12 and younger are free.

Maudslay Arts Center is located at 95 Curzon Mill Road, Newburyport.
