Newbury library offering vacation week programs

NEWBURY — Children looking for something to do during the school vacation week of April 18 might want to check out the Newbury Town Library.

On April 18 at 10:30 a.m., guest librarian Leslie Todd will be doing a story and science program called Bird Builders. This program is for children 5 to 8 years old and features the book "Franny B Kranny, There's a Bird in Your Hair" by Harriet Lerner. They will be looking at how birds build their nests and then creating their own. This special story hour can accommodate 20 children, so please register soon.

Friday, April 20, 1 a.m., children are invited to make a beautiful nesting ball to help the birds in their own backyard build nests For grades 1 to 6. No registration necessary.

Throughout the week there will be make 'n' take activity for all ages. Make your own or have your grown-up help.
