Lego Club at library

Children ages 6 to 10 are invited to come and build with Legos at the Amesbury Public Library, 149 Main St. The Lego Club will feature a different theme to create around each month; Legos will be supplied. Art classes at Senior Center

The Amesbury Senior Recreation Center is offering an art class on Mondays from 10-11:30 a.m. at Amesbury Council on Aging.

The class, Art with Cara, is taught by Cara Smoley, who has 20 years’ experience as an art teacher. No previous training needed.

The fee is $5 per session on a drop-in basis. Call the Center at 978-388-8138 to register. Any questions, phone Smoley at 978-430-6657.

Yoga class for female veterans

The Amesbury Council on Aging, along with Dr. Heidi Lilienthal and Whitney Willman, yoga instructor, announce the launch of a yoga class for female veterans. This class is specifically for female veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and military sexual trauma (MST). This will be a 75-minute mat class and attendants should be able to get up and down from the floor with relative ease. Classes will be held over 12 consecutive weeks and will meet on Saturday mornings. This class will build new skills each session and weekly participation is crucial. Those interested in attending should contact Tarynne Crutchfield at the Amesbury COA to be screened. She can be reached at 978 388-8138, ext. 551.This class is open to female veterans from Amesbury and the surrounding communities.

Bartlett Museum annual dinner

The Annual Dinner of Amesbury’s Bartlett Museum will be held on Thursday, April 24, at Union Congregational Church, 350 Main St., Amesbury. Social time starts at 6 p.m. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. and includes chicken breast, rice pilaf with roasted vegetables and strawberry shortcake. A vegetarian choice is also available.
