‘Let the Good Times Grow’ is new fair theme

The grand prize winner of the Topsfield Fair 2014 theme contest is “Let the Good Times Grow,” submitted by Jenna Melvin. Melvin is from Danvers and her theme idea received over 45 percent of the total votes. She will receive a prize package containing four tickets to the 2014 Topsfield Fair and an assortment of collectible Topsfield Fair souvenirs.

“Harvest the Fun” by Martha Morrison of Topsfield earned the spot of first runner-up, receiving approximately 25 percent of the votes. The 2014 Topsfield Fair will run from Friday, Oct. 3 through Monday, Oct. 13. Discounted tickets will be on sale this summer and a program of all major events will be released in July. Topsfield Fair seeking college interns

Topsfield Fair is seeking upperclassmen or graduate college students to become a part of their internship program. With the fair coming in early October, the fair is looking for an intern who can work throughout the summer and fall. Program responsibilities include assisting with social media projects, customer relations, assisting with advertising campaigns, and much more. The program is open to all majors; however, applicants must be articulate, self-motivated and detail-oriented.
