The next book on the Rowley Book Club list is “The Mill on the Floss” by George Eliot. The book, which will be discussed at the library on Thursday, June 5 at 6:30 p.m., is about a brother and sister growing up in the oppressive society of rural England in the 1900s. All are welcome to join the club.

The Rowley Historical Society is holding its annual plant sale on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Margaret Scott Green across from the 1677 Blatts-Bradford House at 233 Main Street. A rain date is set for Sunday.
