Plum Island Christmas Fair tomorrow

PLUM ISLAND — The 18th annual Plum Island Christmas Fair is tomorrow at PITA Hall, 8 Plum Island Turnpike. Hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Santa will arrive by firetruck about 2 p.m. for his annual visit to the island.

Christmas trees will be on sale all day, with free delivery anywhere on the island.

Crafters and artists from Plum Island and vicinity will offer handmade gifts, stocking stuffers and holiday decorations. There will also be raffle prizes, refreshments and lunch specials, including hotdogs, hamburgers, homemade baked beans and haddock chowder.

The fair is sponsored by Plum Island Taxpayers and Associates, and all proceeds go to help maintain PITA Hall as a gathering spot for Island residents and to support other PITA efforts, including surveying and marking public rights-of-way.
