NEWBURYPORT — Kim Chilingirian is leading a six-part series focusing on the mind, body, spirit connection at the YWCA’s Pond Street branch at 13 1/2 Pond St., behind the CVS in Newburyport.
The seminar will meet the second Tuesday of the month from 7:30 to 9 p.m. and include a question-and-answer session with practical application and conclude with 15 minutes of rejuvenation.
The series kicks off Dec. 11 with Master the Holiday Hustle. Participants will how to make good food choices during the holidays, de-stress and sample the re-vamping of some classic foods with a healthy holiday twist.
The series continues with the following themes:
Make the Most of the New Year Jan. 8. Ever wonder why New Year’s resolutions don’t work? Make this year different and start 2013 out on the right foot.
Heart Health Feb. 12. Learn what you can do right now to protect your heart and keep it beating stronger and longer. The seminar includes tips on exercising/heart rate training and healthy food choices.
Cabin Fever March 12. New England winters can linger a little too long and cause unwanted stress and blues. Learn quick mode changers and how your diet can keep you positive.
Put the Spring Back in Your Step April 9. With the warmer months approaching, you want to be ready to take on the outdoors once again. The seminar will include tips on how to shed that winter coat and get moving again.
Taking Time May 14. Learn calming techniques and various ways to be mindful so no moments in life, big or small, are lost.
