Seabrook Rail Trail 5K run/walk set for Aug. 11

---- — The Friends of Seabrook Rail Trail will host the second annual 5K Run for the Trail on Sunday, Aug. 11, as part of the town’s Old Home Days activities. The run, which begins at 8 a.m. at Seabrook Elementary School, is perfect for all runners, both adults and children.

The run/walk will benefit the Seabrook Rail Trail Project and the cost of registration is $15 per person in advance, $20 for same day registration and $30 per family.

Advanced registration is strongly recommended, and can be accomplished on line at Race application form are also available before the event at the Seabrook Post Office, Seabrook Community Center, Seabrook Town Hall, and the Seabrook Library. Registration the day of the event from 7 to 7:30 a.m.

The first 100 participants will receive T-shirts and Lindt Chocolate.

This is a USATF sanctioned race. Prize group awards (1st, 2nd & 3rd) and overall Male/Female awards, cash award for first male and female.

Walkers and strollers are welcome and will start 10 minutes after the runners.

Seabrook Elementary School is located at 256 Walton Road.
