YWCA seeks Peace Award nominees

NEWBURYPORT — The YWCA Greater Newburyport is seeking nominees for this year’s annual Nancy E. Peace Award. The award is given each year at the Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast to recognize someone in the community who has demonstrated, through volunteer or professional activities, a clear commitment to eliminating racism, fighting prejudice and celebrating diversity in the community.

Nominees may be any adult or youth who live and/or work in the YWCA Greater Newburyport service area, which includes the communities of Newburyport, Amesbury, Georgetown, Ipswich, Rowley, Salisbury, West Newbury and the New Hampshire Seacoast.

The deadline for nominations is Nov. 30. Nomination forms can be found online at www.ywcanewburyport.org. For a hard copy, call Ellie Davis at the YWCA at 978-225-6210.
