Today at 9 a.m., crews will reopen the bridge carrying River Road over Cobbler's Brook in Merrimac, which reopens a scenic route that runs along the Merrimack River.

The bridge was closed about a year ago to allow work crews to rehabilitate portions that were damaged during the historic Mother's Day flood in 2006. Some additional weather-sensitive work will be completed in the spring. The project cost taxpayers $530,000.
