The MRFRS is pleased to introduce Chatty Catty! Chatty Catty is a black and white female of about 4 years of age. She came to the MRFRS as a stray, and received her name when the shelter staff learned how talkative she can be. Chatty is a lovable girl who could melt anyone's heart with her petite white paws and adorable nose markings. This sweet kitty enjoys long naps in the sun, as well as ample play time with her favorite toy, a mouse on a string. She is not hard to please, as she loves ear rubs and head scratches. Chatty is up to date on all of her vaccines, has been spayed and has a microchip. Come meet Chatty Catty today and make her your furry valentine! The Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society is located at 63 Elm St., Salisbury, 978-462-0760, or at Petsmart in Danvers on Route 114, 978-223-0023. The Salisbury location is open for adoptions on Tuesday through Thursday, 2 to 6 p.m., Friday, 2 to 7 p.m., and Saturday, noon to 5 p.m. The shelter is open by appointment anytime and closed on Mondays. A chance to ring church's Paul Revere bell
GEORGETOWN — Come to the First Congregational Church in Georgetown on Saturday, June 9, for a unique opportunity to learn about, see and ring the church's historic Paul Revere bell. As part of the church's Summer Fun Day event, church historian Chris Comiskey will be leading tours to the church steeple at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Admission is by donation. This may be your last chance to see the bell before the cellphone tower equipment is installed.
