Refuge group holds annual meeting, owl presentation this weekend

NEWBURYPORT — The Friends of Parker River National Wildlife Refuge will be holding its annual meeting Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center, 6 Plum Island Turnpike, Newburyport.

The public is invited to join the Friends for this exciting day that will feature a presentation, "Snowy owls to Saw-whet Owls" by Norm Smith, owl researcher and director of Mass Audubon's Blue Hills Trailside Museum.

The public is invited to participate in this free presentation and learn more about the Friends as a support organization for the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge.

The Friends of Parker River National Wildlife Refuge Inc. is an independent, 501 C3, nonprofit organization dedicated to the stewardship of the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge.
