---- — MERRIMAC — The Merrimac Lions Club has awarded four scholarships to Merrimac graduates from the class of 2013.
The Pentucket recipients are Marisa Lundy, who will attend St. Joseph’s College; and Stephanie Wilbur, who will attend the University of New Hampshire.
Other recipients were Jonathan Hewey, a graduate of Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School, who will attend Westfield State University, and Charles Parry, a graduate of Kimball-Union Academy, who will attend Massachusetts Maritime Academy.
All of the nominees were leaders in school, athletics and community activities.
The Pentucket recipients were awarded certificates by King Lion Steve True at the graduating class awards ceremony at Pentucket Regional High School.
For 34 years the club has been awarding scholarships to Merrimac high school seniors in recognition of good citizenship, scholastic achievement, and especially for outstanding service to their school and community.
The Merrimac Lions Club is made up of men and women who live or work in the Merrimac area. The club welcomes new members.
