---- — ROWLEY — The Board of Health will hold a White Goods/Light Metal Household Recycling Day on Saturday from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Highway Department, 40 Independent St.
All metals will be accepted. Glass, wood, ceramic and plastics will not be collected.
The following is a partial list of items that will be accepted free of charge: refrigerators, washing machines and dryers, ovens, microwaves, toaster ovens, kitchen appliances, metal kitchen sinks, humidifiers, air conditioners, pots and pans, snow blowers, lawn mowers, gas grills, propane tanks/helium tanks with open valves, car parts, tire rims/hubcaps, chains/fencing, barbed wires, fitness equipment, metal tables, file cabinets, garden tools, landscape equipment, metal chairs, window frames, doors, screens, sporting goods, bicycles and scooters.
Also, all electronic items will be accepted, including cellphones, fax machines, photocopiers, radios, CD players, electronic games, printers and servers and circuit boards.
Television and computer monitors under 46 inches will have a charge of $10; television and computer monitors over 46 inches will have a $15 fee. All other components have no fee; however, large quantities of items may result in an additional fee.
This program is open to residents and non-residents. Residents are accepted to transfer their items from their cars to the container.
