Union Church flea market June 8

An old-fashioned flea market will be held Saturday, June 8, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Union Congregational Church, 350 Main St., Point Shore, Amesbury, across from Alliance Park. Spaces available for $10 with your own table, $15 with church table. Donations welcome, Lunch will be available on site. VBS in July atMarket Street Baptist

The Market Street Baptist Church, 37 Market St., Amesbury, is hosting a Vacation Bible School for both girls and boys ages 5 to 9 years old, Monday to Friday, July 22 to 26, from 9 a.m. to noon. The VBS program “Follow God” includes games in the gym, crafts, bible study and new songs to learn. A snack of water and fruit will be provided each day.

A suggested donation fee of $10 per child is requested to cover expenses. However, the church does not wish to keep any child away for financial reasons, so it will accept can be afforded.

Bible study at Old South

A weekly Bible study is held at Old South Church in Fellowship Hall every Wednesday at 7 p.m. The group is studying the “Seven Deadly Sins.” Anyone can join in at any time. The church is located on Federal Street in Newburyport.

Weekly sharing of healing experiences

The Christian Science Church, 22 Inn St., holds a one-hour meeting every Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. specifically for sharing gratitude to God. After readings from the Scriptures and the Christian Science textbook on a topic of current interest, the meeting is then opened for the informal sharing of healing experiences. The service includes the lively singing of hymns. Everyone in the community is invited.
