The following item was recorded in the Newburyport police log:

John W. Strausser, 27, 16 Woodman Way, No. 22, Newburyport, was arrested Saturday at 7:08 a.m. and charged with shoplifting. Officer Kevin Martin made the arrest at Market Basket off Storey Avenue.


The following items were recorded in the Amesbury police log:

Corey Ruane, 22, 1461 Pawtucket Blvd., Apt. 11F, Lowell, was issued a summons Friday at 8:10 p.m. on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a revoked registration. Officers Steven Reed and Jonathan Morrill issued the summons on Hillside Avenue.

Marc Pages, 27, 30 Barr St., Salem, was arrested Saturday at 1:18 a.m. and charged with three warrants. Officers Craig Lesage and Raymond Landry made the arrest on Interstate 495 south.

Thomas J. Minion, 40, 19 Downing Ave., Haverhill, was arrested Saturday at 1:33 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol (third offense), fail to signal and marked lanes. Officers Landry and Ronald Guilmette made the arrest on Pond View Avenue.

William Williamson, 23, 35 Dyerville Ave., Johnston, R.I., was arrested Saturday at 8:15 p.m. and charged with a previous warrant and operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license (subsequent offense). Officers Thomas Nichols and David Noyes made the arrest on Haverhill Road.

Peter K. Garland, 32, 9A Pine St., Springsvale, Maine, was arrested Saturday at 11:08 p.m. and charged with possession of a class A substance (subsequent offense), false name to police, operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license and child 5-12 without restraint. Officers Noyes, Nichols and Lauren Tirone made the arrest on Route 110.


The following items were recorded in the Salisbury police log:

Daniel Joseph McLaughlin, 23, 26 Pearl St., Amesbury, was issued a summons Friday at 1:03 p.m. on a charge of larceny from a building. Detective Steven Sforza issued the summons following an incident on Cable Avenue.

Ryan Avakian, 40, 24 Bachelor Road, Apt. A13, Seabrook, was arrested Saturday at 4:37 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, no inspection sticker and cracked windshield. Officers Mark Thomas and Keith Forget made the arrest on Main Street.
