PowerSecure International acquires Solais Lighting
MSolais Lighting, Inc., a manufacturer of specification-grade LED fixtures and lamps, recently announced its acquisition by PowerSecure International, Inc. (Nasdaq: POWR), a leading provider or utility and energy technologies to electric utilities and their industrial, institutional, and commercials customers.
From the perspective of Newburyport resident Stephen Johnson, Solais’ CTO based at the center, there were two unique qualities that played a significant role in this acquisition: Solais’ capability to contribute to product design enhancements and lowering product costs. Johnson noted that Solais has established relationships with national brand name merchandisers, such as Gap, Timberline and Lu Lu Lemon, which use Solais products as indoor lighting in their retail operations.
