Gram's raises $450 with Boston Strong ice cream

NEWBURYPORT — Managers of Gram’s Ice Cream and Desserts on State Street have raised close to $450 in their drive to donate cash to the ONE FUND, an account created to aid victims of the Boston Marathon explosions.

Owner Heather Perruzzi said that a new flavor, Boston Strong, has been introduced. It is chocolate/fudge with a fudge crunch swirl. When customers purchase a cup or cone of that type, $1 goes into the fund.

Perruzzi also is having T-shirts made with the inscription, “Believe in Boston.” Those will be sold, with a portion of the proceeds also earmarked for the One Fund.

The T-shirts will be available late next week, Perruzzi said.
