---- — Selectmen and Planning Board members will meet for a workshop tomorrow at 7 p.m. to discuss the possibility of creating new town zoning to regulate the placement of medical marijuana cultivation and dispensing facilities, which are now legal in the state. The meeting will take place in the conference room at the Hilton Senior Center.

Selectmen decided to hold the workshop after town officials received an inquiry about siting a marijuana cultivation facility in town. According to the state law, there are only a few restrictions on where a state-approved facility could go.

Along with the Planning Board, selectmen hope to have legal counsel on hand at the meeting to help interpret the complex law and related regulations.

The workshop is a public meeting.

Salisbury has again been chosen as a location site for an upcoming movie. American Horror Film Productions was recently approved to film scenes from its upcoming film “Eamons Drive” along a portion of the town’s Ghost Trail near Lion’s Park.

The filming will take place on Oct. 1 and 2, and Selectman Donald Beaulieu is hoping shooting won’t run late into the night. In horror movies, actors scream a lot, he said, and the sounds, if overheard by children in nearby homes late at night, could be ... horrifying.

The Salisbury Chamber of Commerce will hold its first networking mixer of the fall season at 6 p.m. on Thursday. The session will take place at the Upper Deck, located on Broadway at Salisbury Beach Center.

---

Don’t forget to mark the calendar for Saturday, which is when Salisbury will celebrate its 375th birthday celebration.

Taking place on Salisbury Green in the town center, festivities run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be vendors, story tellers and children’s activities at the celebration and at the nearby Salisbury Public Library.

The day will include entertainment supplied by a fife and drum corps, Ralphie B and a concert by the B Street Bombers.
