‘Fill the Cruiser’ at craft fair Dec. 7
The Rowley Police Association will conduct a “Fill the Cruiser” toy and food drive event at the Pine Grove School craft fair on Dec. 7. The craft fair will be held at the Pine Grove School at 191 Main St. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. All are encouraged to stop by and help the Rowley Police Association achieve its goal to fill up the cruiser as many times as possible with these items to help the local community during this holiday season. All food items will be donated to the Rowley Food Pantry and all toys will be donated to Toys For Tots Foundation.
Children’s Center collecting toys
The Rowley Children’s Center, 383 Main St., will be working in collaboration with The Salvation Army of Newburyport in the capacity of official community toy drop-off point.
The Children’s Center will accept donations of new, unused toys. Drop-off times and days are on Tuesdays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. from Dec. 3 through Dec. 13. Please no weapon-like toys. Lt. Meghan Brunelle of the Salvation Army will visit on Dec. 17 at 11:30 a.m. to chat with the preschoolers about the joy of giving and to collect all of the toys that have been donated.

Volunteer needed for Meals on Wheels
The town’s Meals on Wheels program is in need of a volunteer driver for Friday morning deliveries. The driver will spend about three hours delivering 18 to 20 meals to housebound seniors. A stipend is given for gas. Volunteers can work every other week, but must have a car and a valid license. CORI checks are required.
