Winter parking ban in effect in Merrimac

MERRIMAC — Overnight parking of motor vehicles on any town street or highway for more than one hour is now illegal in town between the hours of 11 p.m. and 6 a.m., until further notice.

Keeping the streets clear of motor vehicles enables the snowplow drivers to perform their task more quickly and efficiently.

The wintertime parking ban was announced by the Board of Selectmen under the authority of Merrimac Town Bylaw Article VI, Section XII.

For questions about the parking ban, call the selectmen’s office at 978-346-8862.
