NEWBURYPORT: The following cases were heard in Newburyport District Court on Tuesday, Oct. 13. Judge Dunbar Livingston presided over the following jury-waived trials:

David Gross, 39, 16 Charles St., Rochester, N.H.; possession and intent to distribute class A drug, guilty, sentenced to 18 months house of correction, balance suspended and placed on two years' probation and administrative supervision, must comply with all N.H. probation terms, $90 Victim/Witness Assistance Fund (VFW); possession and intent to distribute class B drug, guilty, same conditions as above; possession and intent to distribute cocaine, guilty, same conditions as above; driving a motor vehicle without a license, filed, guilty; refusal to identify oneself while operating a motor vehicle, guilty, ordered to pay $100 fine; signal/sign/markings violation on a state highway, not responsible (State Police).

Justin Dostie, 22, 31 Maple Ridge Road, Seabrook; distribution of a class D drug, continued without finding for six months, must remain drug free, random screenings, ordered to pay $1,000 costs, $50 VFW (Salisbury); distribution of class D drug, continued without finding for two years, must remain drug free, random screenings (Salisbury).

Kenneth Valentine, 29, 20 Summer St., Amesbury; driving a motor vehicle with a suspended license (subsequent offense), guilty, sentenced to six months house of correction, five days to be served, balance suspended and placed on one year's probation and administrative supervision, $50 VFW (Amesbury).

James D. Giacalone, 28, 216 Middle Road, Byfield; driving a motor vehicle with a suspended license (subsequent offense), guilty, sentenced to 60 days house of correction, balance suspended and placed on one year's probation, placed on administrative supervision; driving an unregistered motor vehicle, guilty, filed; driving an uninsured motor vehicle, guilty, filed; driving an unregistered motor vehicle, not responsible; failure to notify Registry of Motor Vehicles of name/address change, responsible, filed (Newbury).

NEWBURYPORT: The following case was heard in Newburyport District Court on Wednesday, Oct. 14. Judge Michael Uhlarik presided over the following jury-waived trial:

Andrew C. St. James, 18, 17 Madison St., Newburyport; driving an uninsured motor vehicle, placed on six months' pretrial probation; driving an unregistered motor vehicle, not responsible; driving without a license, dismissed; speeding violation, dismissed (Newburyport).

The following case was heard in on Wednesday, Oct. 14. Judge Peter Doyle presided over the following jury-waived trial:

Andrew W. Remillard, 43, 33 Barker St., Methuen; carrying a dangerous weapon, continued without finding for four months, placed on administrative supervision, knives to be forfeited to state police, $90 VFW (State Police).
