APPROVED
To hold a Special Town Meeting on Monday, Dec. 14. The meeting is being called primarily to seek approval of an appropriation of $110,000 for the town's water board so that they can begin a project that will ultimately build a $7.5 million water treatment plant in town to ensure the safety of the water supply. A quorum of 100 residents is needed to vote at this meeting.
A temporary liquor license was approved for Backstage Salon & Spa for Friday, Nov. 20, from 6 to 9 p.m. The salon is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a reception for its patrons.
The hanging of a banner on the backstop at the town common that advertises the annual Craft Fair at the Pine Grove School on Saturday, Dec. 5.

The withdrawal of an application for a liquor license by American BBQ owners Michelle and Steve Pierro.
The appointment of Shawn Russell of 156 Hillside St. as a call firefighter in town, at the request of fire Chief James Broderick. Russell had been a call firefighter prior to October 2008 when he was called to active duty in Iraq, from which he returned in October 2009.
An invitation for the selectmen to attend an Eagle Scout ceremony on Jan. 2 at 2 p.m. at the Byfield Parish Church that will recognize, among others, Rowley Eagle Scouts Nathan Hunter and William Terry. Selectmen Vice Chairman Bob Snow will attend the ceremony.
SIGNED
A receipt indicating that each selectman had received a summary of the latest state ethics law, as is required by law. Selectmen still need to complete an online questionnaire about ethics, as do all town employees.
Letters of commendation to Jacobs, the company that oversaw the construction phase of the Rowley Bridges Project, about Richard Robinson and Steve Halloran, engineers on the project.
DISCUSSED
The continued work on behalf of local towns, Rowley included, being done to get Route 1A listed as a National Scenic Byway.
The schedule to complete the upcoming work to be done on the exterior of Town Hall and the Town Hall Annex (re-siding and new windows) and the repairing/restoring of the cupola and clock on the building.
