DISTRICT COURT


NEWBURYPORT: The following cases were recorded on Friday, Dec. 4, in Newburyport District Court. Judge Peter Doyle presided over the following jury-waived cases:

Steven Misserville, 30, 20 Low St., Newburyport, driving while under the influence of alcohol, found guilty, sentenced to 18 months' probation, ordered to attend Alcohol Safety Awareness Program, license suspended for 90 days, ordered to remain drug- and alcohol-free and submit to random screens, ordered to pay $250 DUI fee, $250 for the Head Injury Fund, $50 DUI victim's assessment, $50 for the Victim/Witness Fund; driving while under the influence of drugs, dismissed; negligent driving, dismissed; failure to stay within marked lanes, found responsible, filed; speeding, found responsible, ordered to pay $350 assessment (State).

Mario E. Robles-Chavarria, 24, 1045 Broadway, Revere; driving without a license, placed on pretrial probation for three months, ordered to pay $50 for the VWF; speeding, found responsible, ordered to pay $180 assessment (State).

Ann Carriere, 45, 48 Market St., Apt. b, Amesbury; assault and battery, continued without finding for six months, sentenced to six months' probation, ordered to pay $50 for the VWF (Newburyport).

Devin A. Hayes, 20, 8 Monroe St., Newburyport; carrying a firearm without a license, not prosecuted (Newbury); receiving stolen property valued at more then $250, placed on pretrial probation for six months (Newbury).

Steven D. Coombs Jr., 30, 14 Spring St., Peabody; larceny of property valued at less than $250 (two counts), found guilty, sentenced to one year in the house of correction; possession of a class E controlled substance, found guilty, filed (Newburyport); breaking and entering in the nighttime for a felony (two counts), found guilty, sentenced to two years in the house of correction (concurrent, credit for 36 days served); larceny of property valued at less than $250 (two counts), found guilty, sentenced to one year in the house of correction (concurrent); malicious destruction of property valued at less than $250 (two counts), found guilty, sentenced to two years in the house of correction (concurrent) (Newburyport).

Nicholas A. Hayes, 22, 3 Union St., Nashua, N.H.; fugitive from justice, dismissed (Newbury); driving without a license, found guilty, filed; furnishing a false name or Social Security number, found guilty, filed; carrying a firearm without a license, found guilty, sentenced to 18 months in the house of correction (credit for 145 days served) (Newbury); receiving stolen property valued at more than $250, found guilty, sentenced to 18 months in the house of correction (concurrent) (Newbury).

HAMPTON: The following cases were recorded at Hampton District Court in Seabrook, the week ending Friday, Dec. 4.

Sandi Hayward, 18, 13 Mildred Ave., Raymond, N.H.; possession of an open container of alcohol, guilty, $120 (Seabrook).

James R. Lord, 17, 71B Collins St., Seabrook; unlawful possession of alcohol by a person under the age of 21, guilty, $300 fine with no recommendation by the court for drivers license revocation (Seabrook).

Jason C. Ellis, 30, 16 Harvard St., Exeter; felon in possession of a dangerous weapon ( switchblade). A probable cause hearing was waived for the felony charge, and the case transferred to Rockingham County Superior Court for grand jury attention; possession of controlled/narcotic drugs (marijuana). The misdemeanor charge was also transferred to Rockingham County Superior Court (Seabrook).

Charles D. Ross, 45, 23 True St., Seabrook; theft by unauthorized taking, theft of a motor vehicle, receiving stolen property, probable cause hearings on the three felony charges were waived and the cases transferred to Rockingham County Superior Court for grand jury attention (Seabrook).
