Santa to ride through West Newbury on Christmas Eve

WEST NEWBURY — Santa will make his annual Christmas Eve ride through the town again this year. His elves are busy loading the sleigh and preparing the reindeer, so Santa will ride a fire truck instead.

Starting at 5:30 p.m. from Central Station, he'll go west on Route 113 to Pleasant Street, River Meadow Drive, Harrison Avenue, then right onto Main Street, with a stop at Barberry Lane and Main, onto Farm Lane, Meadowsweet Lane, left onto Rivercrest, turning around at the end, back to Main Street and then to Crane Neck Street, Robin Road, Robin Circle, Hilltop Circle, Woodcrest Drive and back to Crane Neck, left onto Tewksbury, left onto Georgetown Road and down Maple Street, right onto Main Street, Church Street, Prospect Street and back to Central Station, then left onto Albion Lane, to Bridge Street, left back onto Main Street, with a stop at Long Hill Orchard, down to Coffin Street with a stop at No. 17, then back to Main Street, to Way-To-The-River, Norino Drive, Mirra Way, back to Main Street, to Garden Street with a stop at the Garden Street Fire Station, then a right onto Middle Street, Archelaus Hill Road, and back down Main Street to the Central Station. Santa's ride is sponsored by the West Newbury Fire Company.
