NEWBURYPORT: The following cases were heard in Newburyport District Court on Monday, Jan. 4. Judge Allen Swan presided over the following jury-waived trials:

Jared O'Connor, 24, 41 Lafayette St., Amesbury; fugitive from justice on court warrant, dismissed, picked up by authorities (Amesbury).

Ryan R. Dragon, 25, 74 Folly Mill Road, Salisbury; driving with suspended license, subsequent offense, guilty, one year house of correction, seven days' credit; reckless driving, guilty, one year house of correction, seven days' credit; failure to stop for police, guilty, filed; failure to stop for signal, responsible, filed; speeding, responsible, filed; marked lanes violation, responsible, filed (Salisbury).

Emerson F. Batista, 35, 5 Jasper St., Saugus; driving without a license, dismissed at request of state (West Newbury).

Edecio Benetati, 63, 50 Warren St., 302, Peabody; driving without a license, responsible, $350 assessment (Amesbury).

Dylan Press, 18, 172 Asbury St., South Hamilton; false/misuse liquor ID card/license, continued for one year, $300 in costs, $50 to VWF (Newbury).

Donna M. Damato, 40, 376 Elliott St., Beverly; failure to attend jury duty, dismissed at request of state (Newburyport).

Mary E. Phillips, 51, 38 B Bearskin Neck, Rockport; failure to attend jury duty, dismissed at request of the state (Newburyport).

The following cases were heard in Newburyport District Court on Monday, Jan. 4. Judge James Lamothe presided over the following jury-waived trials:

Alice M. Noel, 33, 28 Sparhawk St., Amesbury; assault and battery, continued for one year with probation, stay away from Anna Jaques unless for medical treatment, all fines and costs waived; assault and battery, continued for one year with probation; disorderly conduct, continued for one year with probation (Newburyport).

Stephen M. Tammaro, 24, 5 B Eagle St., Newburyport; carry dangerous weapon, continued with six months' probation, brass knuckles forfeited; uninsured motor vehicle, continued for six months; driving with suspended registration, continued for six months (West Newbury).

Sarah Krisko, 22, 45 South St., Byfield; uninsured motor vehicle, continued for four months with probation; driving with suspended registration, continued for four months with probation; no inspection sticker, not responsible (West Newbury).

George J. Christie, 61, 194 Lafayette Road, Apt. 21E, Salisbury; unlicensed operation of motor vehicle, continued for two months with probation; speeding in violation of special regulations, responsible, filed (Salisbury).

The following cases were heard in Newburyport District Court on Tuesday, Jan. 5. Judge Allen Swan presided over the following jury-waived trials:

Alireza Barghi, 50, 10 Woodman Way, Newburyport; domestic assault and battery, continued for nine months, no abuse (Newburyport).

Mark F. Monahan, 40, 111 Route 286 Lot 42, Seabrook, N.H.; driving under the influence of alcohol, third offense, guilty, 21รขÑ2 years house of correction, credit five days served, balance suspended for two year's probation, eight-year loss of license, $1,000 fine, $50 to VWF, $250 to Head Injury Fund, attend State Courts Against Road Rage, half-day session of Brains At Risk program (Newburyport).
