Holaday to provide PI water and sewer update tonight

NEWBURYPORT — The City Council is scheduled to meet tonight at 7:30 in City Hall, and among items on the agenda is an update on the Plum Island water and sewer situation.

Municipal engineers say that there could be material flaws with pipe connections, and they are studying what can be done. Mayor Donna Holaday will provide the update.

An executive session has been slated after her presentation, and city councilors are expected to receive privileged information at that time.

Also on the agenda are several items submitted by Councilor Jared Eigerman. One relates to a proposal involving off-street parking and another focuses on elements of the city’s demolition delay ordinance.
