James Matthew Fidler, 44, 52 Fair St., Apt. 2B, Newburyport, was arrested Friday and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol and speeding in violation of special regulations. Officers Kevin Martin, John Gavin and Michael Wilichoski made the arrest on High Street.
Jeffrey Paul Furman, 54, 3 Burton Road, Ipswich, was arrested Friday at 9:43 p.m. and charged with malicious destruction of property and assault with a dangerous weapon. Officers John Gavin, Eric Marshal and Sgt. Howard Adams made the arrest on Woodman Way.
Yancey Devoy, 36, 33 Inn St., No. 3, Newburyport, was arrested Saturday at 12:52 a.m. and charged with assault and battery. Sgt. Charles Eaton and officer Charles Ferlauto made the arrest on Inn Street.
Craig Harriman, 60, 313 High St., Newburyport, was arrested Saturday at 6:54 a.m. and charged with a previous warrant. Officer Eric Andrukaitis made the arrest on High Street.
Haley A. Spause, 20, 45 Spencer Knowles Road, Rowley, was issued a summons Saturday on charges of uttering a false check (four counts), forgery of a check (four counts) and larceny over $250. Officer Gavin issued the summons following an incident at Beautique, Pleasant Street.

William Leonard Whitmore, 28, 82 Congress St., Amesbury, was arrested Friday at 4:19 p.m. and charged with a previous warrant. Officers Larry Bybee, Kevin Ward and Thomas Hanshaw made the arrest on Congress Street.
Elizabeth Iacopino, 34, 13 Powderhouse Court, Amesbury, was arrested Friday at 10:34 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license, improper turn, marked lanes and speeding in violation of special regulations. Officer Thomas Nichols and Sgts. Bailey, Purvis and Chaput made the arrest on Whitehall Road.
Stephen E. Gonzalo Jr., 48, 359 Ocean Blvd., No. 8, Hampton, N.H., was arrested Saturday at 2:34 a.m. and charged with eight previous warrants. Officers Matthew Cunningham and Denis Champange Jr. made the arrest on Main Street.
