Seabrook school to be honored for volunteerism

SEABROOK — Seabrook Elementary School has been awarded the New Hampshire Partners in Education Blue Ribbon Award for volunteerism.

Parent Teacher Organization volunteer coordinators will be honored at the ceremony hosted by the Partners in Education Ribbon Ceremony in Manchester on Oct. 30.

The school is also actively engaged in fundraising activities to help with enrichment programs for students. The school is collecting labels from product items including ,Tyson A+, Shaw’s Community Rewards, Box Tops for Education and Labels for Education. All can be dropped off at the elementary library.

The school’s Planet Aide fundraising clothing bins are located on the school grounds. Unwanted clothing and shoes can be dropped off in the bins and the school receives 2 cents per pound.

Upcoming events at the elementary school include parent conferences on Oct. 16 and 17. Also, Oct. 25 is an early release day for students; lunch will be served but the children will be released at noon and there will be no afternoon kindergarten.
