Pilates open house dedicated to Emma Journeay

MERRIMAC — Sunday afternoon will be dedicated to a celebration of the life of Emma Journeay, a 6-year-old girl diagnosed with neuroblastoma cancer who recently died. She had attended the Sweetsir and Donaghue schools.

Engage Your Core Pilates and other local business will be supporting her scholarship fund with various activities from 3 to 6:30 p.m.

The day will begin with a short meditation/inspirational yoga session, followed by a butterfly release in honor of Emma. A Butterfly Walk/ Run with Crossfit Full Potential will follow. Other activities include a variety of 25-minute trial classes at Engage Your Core Pilates; 15-minute aerial Pilates trials; weekend lashes extensions with Beatique; chair massage; Polarity therapy; chiropractic assessments and more.

Food will be provided by Port Sandwich, Flatbread Company pizza, the Port Tavern and more. Wine will be provided by the Mill View Winery.

Schedule of the day at Engage Your Core Pilates:

3-4 p.m., yoga, meditation reading, butterfly release

4:30-5:15 p.m., Butterfly Walk/Run

4:30-4:55 p.m., Mat Class with Maria

5-5:25 p.m., Jumpboard Class with Lisa

5:30-5:55 p.m., Barre Class with Amanda

6-6:25 p.m., Reformer Class with Liz
