Chamber to take stock at annual meeting

AMESBURY — The Amesbury Chamber of Commerce & Industrial Foundation will host its 15th annual dinner with the theme “Up, Up and Away” on Thursday, Nov. 1, at Amesbury Sports Park, 12 South Hunt Road, Amesbury.

In keeping with the growth that has taken place at the Amesbury Chamber in 2012, the organization is seeking to adjust the format of its annual dinner to function beyond a meeting and become a celebration of the success of the past year and a look ahead to what’s planned.

Fireball Run participant Leanne Cusimano, owner of Cafe Amore and Amore Breakfast in Ogunquit, Maine, will share her experience with the event that had a stop in Amesbury last month.

In addition, there will be an awards ceremony honoring members of the Camber community.

Peter and Patricia Hoyt will receive the Pillars of the Community Award, Donna Collins will be awarded the Unsung Hero of the Amesbury Chamber Award and the President’s Award will be a tribute to Anne Bonaventura.

Tickets are $45 for Chamber members, $55 for nonmembers and $350 for a table of eight. Reservations are requested by tomorrow by contacting Karla Middler at the Chamber at chamber@amesburychamber.com or 978.388.3178.
