Newburyport Daily News
---- — On this day in 1922, police reported they were kept on the move by the acts of hoodlums as calls came in from across the city. Blinds were removed from houses and gates from fences, front doors of houses were banged with heavy objects and in several cases panels were cracked. In areas where ash had been put out, nearly every barrel had been tipped over.
