Bear wins another term

Doyle contends that by challenging the incumbent he will have made Bear a better selectman this term. After learning of the final results from Town Clerk Leslie Haley, Doyle and his campaign team planned to head over to Beachcoma Restaurant for a post-election party.

“There’s always next year,” he said with a smile.

Other winners on the ballot yesterday were:

Assessor (3 yr.) – Peter Murphy

Board of Health (3 yr.) – Alba L. Gouldthorpe

Constable (4 yr.) – James A. Cunningham (I)

Fish Commissioner (3 yr.) – Charles A. Colby

Library Trustee (3 yr.) – Richard J. Passeri

Tree Warden (1 yr.) – Peter W. Hollis

Trustee First Settlers Burial Ground (3 yr.) Douglas A. Noyes

Winners for seats on the Triton Regional School Committee were Robin S. Williams, Newbury; Paul Lees and Richard Cummings, Rowley; and Deborah Choate, Salisbury.

There was no candidate on the ballot for a 2 year unexpired term as Trustee of the First Settlers Burial Ground but the 189 write ballots cast last night remained to be counted.
