The Amesbury Public Library, 149 Main St., has a summer of fun programs and activities planned for the community.

Here are some of the highlights:

The theme for the Teen Summer Reading Program is “Teens Making a Difference.”

The teens will be reading for the Amesbury-based organization, The Littlest Change, and offering random acts of kindness.

June 12:Teens will be delivering pails and shovels, beach balls, jump ropes and other summer toys to the Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center in Amesbury at 3:15 p.m., followed by a kick-off to the Teen Reading Program at the gazebo at 5 p.m. The festivities will include karaoke and refreshments. Attendees are asked to bring a non-perishable food item for Our Neighbors’ Table.

July 10: Teens will be “flowering the city,” beginning at 2 p.m. Don’t be surprised if you are walking down the street and a teen stops you to give you a carnation.

July 23: Muffin delivery to the Amesbury Senior Center at 1 p.m. to enjoy with their Bingo game.

For more information about these and other programs, visit the calendar at www.amesburylibrary.org or join the Teen Scene Amesbury Library Facebook page, or contact Margie Walker, teen librarian, at mwalker@mvlc.org or 978-388-8148.
