Newbury voters to decide on 33 articles

ARTICLE 22. To amend a section of the town’s bylaw governing Dogs and Other Animals as follows: “Anyone maintaining such a kennel shall be subject to a $100 fine. Each day shall constitute a violation.”

ARTICLE 23. To amend Newbury Zoning By-Laws to modify the boundaries of the Business and Light Industrial District (BLI).

ARTICLE 24. To amend Newbury Zoning By-Laws to modify the boundaries of the portion of the Commercial Highway District (CH) located along Central Street on the easterly side of the Route I-95 right-of-way.

ARTICLE 25. To amend Newbury Zoning By-Laws to modify the boundaries of the Byfield Village Business District (BVB).

ARTICLE 26. To amend Newbury Zoning By-Laws to modify certain portions of the Table of Use Regulations.

ARTICLE 27. To amend Newbury Zoning By-Laws regulating accessory apartments.

ARTICLE 28. To amend Newbury Zoning By-Laws by adding provisions for Ground-Mounted Solar Photovoltaic Installations.

ARTICLE 29. To authorize Selectmen to petition the General Court for the enactment of a special law creating a new regional veterans’ services district, including the Town of Merrimac and one or more of its neighboring communities, which may include Newburyport, Newbury, Salisbury, and/or Amesbury.

Requests appearing on the Special Town Warrant include:

ARTICLE 1. $106,795 from Free Cash to fund the Snow and Ice deficit

ARTICLE 2. $20,620 from the Sale of Land Fund to purchase 2 Lawn Mowers for the Public Works Department.

ARTICLE 3. $38,880 from Free Cash to pay for a weir at Middle Road.

ARTICLE 4. $6,068.50 from Free Cash to pay for various expenses of the Historic Commission
