Dear Santa, Hi, it's Winslow writing. Thought I'd get my letter in early so you make sure to get to it. As you know, I'm only about 2 years old, and all I want to do is snuggle all day long — but I have feline leukemia, so not many people want to take me home. The thing is that even though I probably won't live as long as other cats, I still really want a real home — maybe with someone who already has an FeLV+ cat or who would adopt one of my FeLV+ friends here so I'd have a buddy. I wish people knew that if they adopt me, I come with a Care for Life program where MRFRS takes care of my medical bills for life. I am so healthy right now — I don't need any medicine or anything. All I need is a home to love me. Thanks for listening. Love, Winslow the cat. P.S. I've been neutered, I'm up-to-date on shots, treated for fleas and worms, and I even have a microchip. People can come and meet me at the shelter anytime they are open! The Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society is located at 63 Elm St., Salisbury, 978-462-0760, or at Petsmart in Danvers on Route 114, 978-223-0023. The Salisbury location is open for adoptions on Tuesday through Thursday, 2 to 6 p.m., Friday, 2 to 7 p.m., and Saturday, noon to 5 p.m. The shelter is open by appointment only on Sunday and closed on Mondays. The Petsmart location has the same hours, with the addition of being open Sundays from noon to 2 p.m. For more information, log on to www.mrfrs.org.
