Winter Festival to break chill at Veasey Park

GROVELAND — The Groveland Activities Committee will hold its annual Winter Festival on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at Veasey Park, 201 Washington St.

Snow is predicted to be on the ground, which will complement the host of family activities planned for both outside and inside.

MIX104.1 radio’s Wellness on Wheels Tour will be on hand for the event, playing music, running games and giving away prizes.

There will be winter sports outside all afternoon and a winter rail and bird walk beginning at 3 p.m.

Inside, the event kicks off with a concert by the Bagnall School singers at 1 p.m., followed by Tom Foolery the Silly Magician, at 2 p.m.. Throughout the afternoon, there will be treats and hot drinks available, face painting, crafts and balloon animals. People are also invited to drop in on the live session and jam by the Boston Bluegrass Union.
