Navy Airman Michael S. Gertz, son of Cynthia and Stephen E. Gertz, attended the inactivation of aircraft carrier USS Enterprise (CVN 65). Enterprise, the world’s first nuclear powered aircraft carrier, recently completed its 25th and final deployment and returned to its homeport of Naval Station Norfolk for a scheduled inactivation, held prior to the ship’s terminal offload program and subsequent decommissioning.

Adam Newell has been named to the dean’s list at West Virginia Wesleyan for the fall 2012 semester.

Alex T. Barnes, Lyssette A. Schaefer and Ashley M. Viselli were named to the dean’s list at Saint Anselm College for the fall 2012 semester. Barnes is a junior majoring in business. Schaefer is a junior majoring in nursing. Viselli is a junior majoring in education studies.

Colby Hurd, Molly Pagliarulo, Emily Pomer and Jeremy Weiner were named to the dean’s list at Fitchburg State University for the fall 2012 semester.
