Golden Agers to meet Feb. 6

NEWBURYPORT — The Newburyport Golden Age Club will meet Wednesday, Feb. 6, at 1 p.m. at Elks Hall on Low Street. Information on upcoming trips will be available. Coffee and doughnuts will be offered as refreshments.

Despite inclement weather, the group met on Wednesday, Jan. 16, for its social meeting. The meeting opened with prayer, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and singing of the national anthem. Birthdays were celebrated by Beverly Cronin and Charles Barney. Raffle winners were Wally Thurlow and Irene Geisler. Entertainment was by Jim Moses, whose songs and variety acts were enjoyed by the members. Coffee and doughnuts were served.
