The annual Boston Globe Art Awards competition took place the weekend of Jan. 26. The art students from all the independent high schools in Massachusetts competed in four art disciplines — ceramics, studio art, photography and film. Governor’s Academy led all of the competition with 39 total awards including eight Gold Keys that the students won for their Portfolio work, which is the most advanced level of art in the competition. Governor’s art students won the largest number of awards ever earned.
