Magic Show and Kids' Used Book Sale at library Saturday

NEWBURYPORT — Well-known local professional magician Debbie O’Carroll will entertain the entire family with a free magic show Saturday. This half-hour show will be in the Program Room of the Newburyport Public Library, 94 State St., starting at 1:30 p.m. Parents must accompany children.

There will be a short refreshment break in the lobby while the Program Room is readied for the Kids’ Used Book Sale, which will start as soon as possible after the Magic Show, around 2:15.

The special sale will offer inexpensive (50 cents) used books appropriate for preschoolers through young adult. Any child stopping by the Children’s Room at the Public Library will be given a free “buy one, get one” coupon that can be cashed in with a purchase at the book sale. Limit one coupon per customer.

These events are sponsored by the Friends of the Library and proceeds from the sale will benefit the Children’s Room.

There is no snow date scheduled for these events.
