Seabrook Town Notebook
---- — State officials from the Department of Motor Vehicles are alerting residents who renew their driver licenses online to make sure they use the “Official State of New Hampshire Government Website,” which carries the title at the top right-hand corner of the site.
Officials advise residents to avoid unofficial sites, which charge additional fees. The cost of a five-year, operator-only driver license renewal is $50, and there are no additional charges for renewing a license online on the state’s official site.
“People should be sure to enter the exact web address that is listed on their renewal notification letter in the web address line, not on a search line,” according to DMV Director Richard C. Bailey Jr. “If (drivers) do a web search to find it, they might not reach the official DMV site.”
