Heard around town: A stroll with snakes

A man taking his pets for a stroll down Route 1 in Salisbury drew the attention of passers-by and police yesterday afternoon. Instead of walking his dogs, he was showing off his snakes.

The man had two snakes twined around his waist, according to a police dispatcher, and concerned motorists called police just after 1:30 p.m. to check on him. The man reportedly told officers that he was just walking his snakes, according to the dispatcher.

The man was last seen just past Salisbury Square heading toward Seabrook on Lafayette Road.
