Amesbury actor keeping busy

AMESBURY — Jeffrey Donovan is busy these days.

Donovan's new movie, "Changeling," is premiering at the Cannes Film Festival this month and the second season of his television series, "Burn Notice," is in filming. In "Burn Notice," Donovan plays lead character Michael Westen, a spy disavowed by the U.S. government. "Changeling" won't be in theatres until November.

Donovan, an Amesbury native and a member of the AHS Class of 1986, will also celebrate his 40th birthday May 11 with a party at the Delano Hotel in Miami.

Donovan's movie credits also include "Blair Witch 2: Book of Shadows" playing the character Jeff Patterson. He also had a supporting role in "Bait." He has made guest appearances on a variety of television shows — "Spin City," "Law and Order," "Crossing Jordan" and "CSI Miami."

During his days at Amesbury High, Donovan was active in the Drama Club. After graduation he attended UMass Amherst and Bridgewater State College.
